It’s possible to walk around the opponent because the arenas are 3D. It may be hard to find or track down, but it’s such a fun game.
If you can, I’d definitely recommend playing Mortal Kombat: Deception. I don’t get flooded with nostalgia often since many of my first game experiences are no longer accessible. When I started the game up again for the first time in years, I was flooded with nostalgia. I was so glad when I discovered I could play it again thanks to Dolphin emulator and the internet. I was seven years old when this game came out to GameCube in February of 2005. Some of my favorite childhood memories come from this game and playing it against my brother. Mortal Kombat 3 (MK3) is a fighting video game developed by Midway and first released into arcades in 1995 as the third game in the Mortal Kombat series. I didn’t use the Krypt again while playing so I don’t remember what it’s like or what it does. Then there’s the Krypt which is pretty much a staple in the Mortal Kombat games now. It’s a lot less about the combat portion and more just a fun mini-game of sorts. I do know you play as whatever character you pick but their body is small and their head looks massive. I played Mortal Kombat for a month buying it on opening weekend. Which leaves Tekken, Mortal Kombat, and Street Fighter 5 for more casual gamers. There’s another game mode that’s like Tetris, but I never really played it and I don’t remember what it’s called. Problem with this generation of fighting games is that there's very little activity on the best ones, Undernight Inbirth and Blazblue crosstag. Unlike traditional Chess, when a space/square is disputed, the two “pieces” will fight in the traditional Mortal Kombat fashion and whoever wins gets the square. It’s Chess where each player selects the “pieces” they’ll use which are actually the characters in the game. “Chess Kombat” is exactly what it sounds like. Some of them are shown in the video attached. The arenas in Deception had environment fatalities where there was environmental objects that either player could be smacked into.
“Kombat” is the game mode you’d expect with Mortal Kombat, you’re in an arena against someone else and the goal is to kill them. The mode I remember playing the most was “Kombat” against my brother and “Chess Kombat” also against my brother. I never really played the “Konquest” mode which is kind of like an early story mode, but I started playing it for real last night. Mortal Kombat: Deception I had for the GameCube and I remember playing it a ton. I still think it’s bizarre that a game like Mortal Kombat was released on a Nintendo platform, especially that early on. The game is Mortal Kombat: Deception which was released on the Xbox, PS2, and the GameCube. NetherRealm always brings back test your might-type game-modes, so why not bring back something a bit more in depth for a game potentially as big as MK11? Anyways, what do you all think of this idea?
